At Bead Exclusive we source from all four corners of the globe trying to find exclusive beads and findings for you to choose. Here are just some of them!

China

We source many of our semi-precious gemstones and our Fresh water pearls directly from suppliers in China. We also have many ceramic and porcelain beads from China that are beautifully made in the traditional ways. There is also our gorgeous Cloisonne bead range. These hollow metal beads are amazing value when you consider the huge skill involved in their creation. Wire is attached to the metal bead to form a pattern and then the spaces filled with enamel.

India

We have a great range of glass beads that come from India. The beads are traditionally slightly more unique and individual than the Japanese equivalents but it is this that gives them their enormous charm. Our Indian glass beads are incredibly economical and yet make up into the most fabulous jewellery.

 The UK! 

Although many of our beads come from overseas, we also actively search for home produced beads. One of our main desires is to find beads that no one else has, giving you our customers the 'exclusive' palette to choose from. We also want to champion our homegrown talent, plus finding more local artisans is better for our carbon footprint. Our Devon ceramic beads are produced locally for us by a local artist who hand makes, glazes and fires all of her own beads. They are gorgeous too!!

 Japan 

We stock our Miyuki cubes and many of our seed beads from Japan. They are characteristic by their universal and uniform shape. Each one will be exactly the same. The quality is superb of Japanese bead.

 Phillipines 

Our brand new Exotic Wooden beads and our Shell beads come all the way from the shores of the Phillipines. We are careful to ensure that all of our natural beads are from replenshed source. The wooden bead quality is some of the best that we have come across.

Thailand

We are delighted to have our qualtiy silver beads, pendants and clasps all the way from Thailand. Each and every piece has been hand created and worked using up to 98% pure silver. Each artisan specialises in a different technique and method used in creating these beautiful beads.

Ghana

Our Ghanain Recycled glass beads come to us from the shores of Accra in Ghana. Used glass is cleaned and ground by hand to create powder glass. (Image 1) This is mixed and blended to create the different colours and then placed into moulds. (image 2) The glass is then heated in mud ovens - mud taken from terminte mounds as it is finer and holds the heat for longer! (image 3). The holes of the beads are then made in the cooling glass beads. (image 4)

 We ensure that all of the money goes directly to the five families that create these beads.
